  With the Red Key from Volvo, you can encourage the young drivers in your family to drive responsibly, or have peace of mind that your Volvo is being driven safely when left in the care of a valet or auto body shop.

  The Red Key provides the following options:

  Restricted top speed - 75 mph is preset. This can be adjusted with the car's ordinary key to 30-160 mph.
  Adaptive cruise control - The longest interval to the car in front is preset. This can be adjusted with the car's ordinary key.
  Speed Warning (30, 45, and 55 mph is preset. This can be adjusted with the car's ordinary key to a maximum of six levels for speed warning.
  Restricted Sound Level - The volume has a restricted level which is either on or off. Restricted sound level is preset.
  With the Red Key, the car's safety functions are always on, which can include the following depending the features your car is equipped with:

  Blind Spot Information System
  Lane Keeping Aid & Lane Departure Warning
  Forward Collision Warning
  Driver Alert Control
  Distance Alert
  Traffic Sign Recognition
  
  PLEASE NOTE:
  May require dealer installation or programming.
  When changing drivers, the vehicle must be locked / unlocked in order to activate a new driver profile.
